The Asus Eee Pad Transformer 2 could become reality by November 7 with specs befitting its lineage; its predecessor being one of the few Android tablets to have been considered a possible iPad competitor. A listing has appeared on LambdaTek Component Shop website for Asus TF201-1I020A tablet with NVIDIA quad-core Tegra 3 (Kal-el) processors, 32GB RAM and a 10.1-in display. Samsung announced the latest addition to its Exynos product family - the Exynos 4212 - a dual core ARM Cortex-A9 application processor for Smartphones and Tablets on Wednesday, September 28. The Exynos application processor is displayed at the eighth annual Samsung Mobile Solutions Forum held at the Westin Taipei, Taiwan. Exynos 4212 features 25 percent increase in processing power and an enhanced graphics processing unit (GPU) that is capable of delivering 50 percent higher 3D graphics performance over the previous processor generation from Samsung. The SoC is designed using Samsung's 32nm High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) low-power process which uses 30 percent less power-level over the previous process generation. The Exynos 4212 incorporates a rich portfolio of advanced codec accelerators that support digital still images, video recording and play-back at 1080p full-HD resolution, an image signal processor and an on-chip HDMI 1.4 interface.
