Chic i-Gucci Grammy Edition Wristwatch

Gucci and the Recording Academy have decided to commemorate their partnership by launching a collection of i-Gucci Grammy wristwatches. They carry a special tag on the double-layout digital display as a reminder of the collaboration. Also the rubber straps – either white or black depending on your choice of the model – are decorated with the Gucci and Grammy logos. The i-Gucci has been made encased in new PVD stainless steel. The yellow timepieces come in a version studded with 55 diamonds of 1.37 carats all and a cheaper version sans diamonds. Besides, a large 44 millimeter version and a smaller 30 mm one are available. The watches , a special edition, were designed by Creative Director Frida Giannini . They are to be had for $7,900; the diamond-less ones go for $1,345.

Cute Nooka Yogurt Watch

Nooka , helped by designer Karim Rashid , went to a food store to find inspiration for a new wristwatch and came back with that yummy yoghurt idea. The liquid-looking timepieces have a large circular display where the hour is shown in hexagon-formed digits with the minutes shown in small dashes in the outer ring.nside the Yoghurt Watches contain a Quartz Crystal Oscillation Frequency module, an LCD display, and CR2016 battery support. Outside they sport PU Body case material completed with Stainless Steel/Screw on the back. The 38 x 10mm watches (with the band 18mm wide) come in six colors, equally yummy – Raspberry, Blackberry, Blueberry, Green, plus Non Fat and Plain for those watching their weight. The watches are water-resistant (in case anyone tries to lick them) and retail at $130. They can work in both modes, 12 and 24 hours.

Ipad 2 Launch Delayed to June

A Taiwanese brokerage firm is reporting that iPad 2 launch has been pushed back from April to June because of production bottlenecks, but cuts in iPad prices in the UK suggest the product's launch maybe imminent. According to Reuter, Yuanta Securities of Taiwan attributed the delay in iPad 2 launch to a late in the day format change by Apple that has forced manufacturer Hon Hai to change its production process. iPad 2 is reported to be slimmer and lighter than its predecessor and features a second front facing camera for video chats. A note by Yuanta Securities says, "Our checks suggest new issues are being encountered with the new production process and it is taking time to resolve them." The note adds that the two month product launch delay will results in just 23 million units shipping this year, against the earlier estimate of 30.6 million units. Vivienne Tam Double Happiness Credit Card Reader

Vivienne Tam has come up with a new credit card reader designed using the Square technology (credit cards are accepted by connecting a card reader to a cell phone or iPad). For it she secured the collaboration of the Square co-founder Jack Dorsey , who is also known as the creator of Twitter. Tam and Dorsey’s Square credit card reader is dubbed the Double Happiness and has a red Chinese symbol denoting double happiness standing out against its lacquer black case. It is a limited Square gadget that is offered at Vivienne Tam’s site for the price of $10. The Double Happiness is sold to raise money for Happy Hearts Fund that helps children in natural disaster areas avail themselves of educational and sustainable programs.

Fujifilm Announces Four New Super-zoom Cameras

Fujifilm announces four new super-zoom models at CES 2011 on January 5, extending its S-Series long-zoom "bridge camera" range. Dell announced the release of its 7-inch Google Android 2.2 Tablet – Dell Streak 7 – for use with T-Mobile's 4G network on January 6 at CES 2011. The Streak 7 features a dual core 1GHz NVIDIA Tegra 2 processor, seven-inch WVGA touch screen with Gorilla Glass, 16 GB of internal memory and SD Card slot with support for expandable memory up to 32 GB.
