With the fast-paced world, professionals, particularly designers and visual artists, need a highly-interactive device that will allow them to maximize their work anytime and anywhere. This need has been the focused of a new multimedia tablet from Genius called G-Pen M609X.
This tablet features a screen designed to support a whopping 4000 LPI resolution, in addition to its capability to switch to a wide mode of 9 x 5.5-inch from standard mode of 7.25 x 5.5-inch. These features are further complemented with the rolling pad’s capability to support 4D scrolling and brush-width functions while allowing users to zoom in and out the screen and change its volume.
In terms of interactive features, the multimedia tablet has only 27 shortcut keys for an easy and instant access to Vista functions, Office, and Internet.
This tablet will not be highly-interactive without its cordless pen which works the same way as a typical computer mouse, allowing users to precisely control the cursor anywhere they drag the pen over the screen.
One of the most impressive technologies of G-Pen M609X is the 1024 level pressure sensitivity in the screen that responds to pressure. With this feature, the writing or drawing will have a distinct thickness depending on the pressure a person applies to the screen.
Fortunately, this mobile device is compatible with a wide array of OS including Windows Vista, XP, and 2000, and Mac 10.8 and also its later versions. Also, the tablet comes with bundled software including Office Ink / Free Notes, Macro Key Manager, and Photolmpact 12SE.
However, if this tablet comes with Mac OS X version, it will have Photoshop Elements 6.0 which may appear outdated for some users especially those who need more complex picture editing tools.
This digital canvas comes at a retail price of $169, a little cheaper than its almost identical twin G-Pen M712X, a multimedia tablet also made by the same company. (The only obvious difference is that the latter has an eight more shortcut keys.)
