The Pentax X90 features 26X super-telephoto lens (26-676mm equivalent), 12.1 megapixel CCD sensor and 2.7 inch LCD.
It can record 1280x720p HD video at a smooth 30 frames per second.
The X90 supersedes the X70 which featured 24X zoom and 15 fps HD video.

Despite its positioning as a compact camera that requires no training, it allows for creativity with different exposure modes. In the Program AE mode, the camera selects the best aperture and shutter speed automatically for you. The Aperture Priority, Shutter Priority, Night Scene and Manual modes allow photographers to select their aperture and shutter speed.
