Samsung South Africa have released photos of an Android based tablet computer featuring a 7" screen called The Galaxy.
The released photo shows The Galaxy tablet next to a Samsung Galaxy S smartphone, announced earlier in March.
According to The Korea Herald, Samsung plans to release a range of Android based tablet computers - referred to a sPad - in South Korea. The three devices will feature essentially the same internals but differ in their screen sizes.
A 7" sPad will hit the market in August, ahead of Apple's iPad launch in the country. It will be followed by an 8" version in October, and finally a 10" version in December.
Samsung's strategy of fielding tablets with varying screen sizes appears similar to that of Dell which yesterday announced the launch of its 5" Dell streak tablet in the US in July.
