Canon's S95 is a follow-up to the S90. It introduces 720p HD video with stereo sound recording and features improved 'Hybrid IS.'
Video can be played back using HDMI output.
Other new features include multi-aspect ratio shooting and SDXC card compatibility.
Its 10.0 Megapixel sensor combined with the Digic 4 Image Processor improves low light performance and image quality. The bright f/2.0 lens of the S90 is retained. It facilitates shooting portraits in low light conditions or using a shallow depth-of-field for great images with beautiful soft backgrounds. A control ring for intuitive manual control, built for the way the serious photographer has always accessed exposure control. The S95 will be available in late August for $400.
