Nikon's second projector-equipped digital compact camera features 40% brighter projection, a 3" touch sensitive LCD display and the ability to project the display of a computer connected over USB.
The S1100pj is a follow-up to the S1000pj, the world's first compact camera equipped with a projector.
The S1100pj projector has a brightness of 14 lumens, as compared to 10 lumens of the S1000pj. It can project a 47-inch display to a distance of 240 cms under relatively bright ambient lighting.
The 3-inch, 460K-dot LCD monitor with touch support allows you to focus and shoot with the touch of a finger. You can use the monitor to add text, drawings, or decorations such as flowers or fish during projection to make it more interactive and enjoyable.
When playing back images on the LCD monitor, you can apply six different filters using touch. The camera features a 14.1 MP, 1/2.3-in sensor and a built-in 5X optical wide zoom NIKKOR lens with a zoom range of 28-140mm (35 mm equivalent). ISO sensitivity varies from ISO 80 to 800 in auto, and can be set to a max of ISO 6400 manually.
