Motorola calls its Android 2.2 Atrix smartphone the world's most powerful. Announced on January 5 at CES 2011, the Atrix features a dual-core processor with each core running at 1GHz, a whopping 1GB RAM, 16GB internal memory and 4-inch (960 x 540) screen.
Motorola believes the smartphone should serve as a user's primary digital hub to create, edit and interact with documents, media and content. The webtop application, a web based desktop, and Motorola's Laptop Dock facilitate the use of the smartphone with an HDMI compatible monitor, keyboard and trackpad for a desktop like experience.
The Atrix packs 1 GB of RAM, twice the RAM of most smartphones, for effortless multi-tasking, such as watching a movie while receiving and responding to email
Its qHD pentile display offers high resolution and 24-bit color, making it easier to read indoors and outdoors.
A rear facing 5 MP main camera comes with Digital Zoom and LED Flash; it lets you capture – 720p MPEG4 and H.264 at 30 fps. A post-launch upgrade will support 1020p HD video.
A front-facing VGA camera facilitates video chat and self image capture.
A biometric fingerprint reader provides extra security with a lot of convenience.
The Atrix ships with 16GB internal memory that you can upgrade to 32GB with external MicroSD card.
