Google's next Nexus will reportedly push the envelope with a powerful processor, a monster display and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.
Sources tell the bgr.com that the device, possibly called the Nexus 4G, will feature a dual-core processor running at 1.2GHz or 1.5GHz.; either the TI OMAP 4460 or Qualcomm's 28nm Krait-based Snapdragon
TI's OMAP 4 platform is a highly-optimized system-on-chip (SOC) leveraging two ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore general-purpose processors, reaching speeds of 1.5 GHz per core.
Qualcomm's Krait architecture chips offer up to 23 percent more computing headroom than the ARM Cortex-A15 while using 47 percent less power.
The Nexus 4G will use its processing horsepower to drive a 720p HD display sans physical buttons; even the four buttons - menu, home, back and search - found on all Android devices will not be there.
Other features expected include 4G LTE radio, 1GB of RAM, 1080p HD video capture and playback, a 1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel main camera.
The main camera will feature a improved (larger?) sensor with improved low light sensitivity and image quality.
The Nexus 4G is expected to be debut during Thanksgiving, and could be announced simultaneously with Android 4.
