Google's reference Smartphone for Android 4.0, Ice Cream Sandwich, is being developed under a project codenamed 'Prime' and maybe launched as Google Nexus Prime, according to bgr.com
Google is helping multiple carriers develop their own "exclusive" Android 4.0 device and all of them may launch around the same time as the Nexus Prime.
In other words, AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, and Sprint could launch Motorola, HTC, and LG Android 4.0 devices around the same time.
Bgr.com earlier reported the existence of the Nexus 4G with a monster 720p HD display, sans physical buttons; and a dual-core processor, saying the device was likely to be built by Samsung.
Sources now confirm to the site that the device will be powered by the TI OMAP 4460, a highly-optimized system-on-chip (SOC) leveraging two ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore general-purpose processors, reaching speeds of 1.5 GHz per core.
Its display will be branded as "Super AMOLED HD," making it likely that Samsung is the device manufacturer.
Other features expected include 4G LTE radio, 1GB of RAM, 1080p HD video capture and playback, a 1-megapixel front-facing camera, and a 5-megapixel main camera.
The main camera will feature a improved (larger?) sensor with improved low light sensitivity and image quality.
The Nexus Prime is expected to be debut during Thanksgiving.
