The Nikon P510 announced on February 1, 2012 is a rather impressive Super Zoom (42x) compact camera with a 16.1 MP backlit CMOS sensor and built-in lens-shift vibration reduction (VR).
Nikon announced the P510 along with its High End compact camera Nikon P310.
The p510 features a 4.3-180 mm lens (which corresponds to 24-1000 mm lens in a 35mm camera) with a variable angle , 3.0-in, 921K LCD.
Besides stills, the camera can capture full 1080p HD video with stereo sound.
ISO sensitivity ranges from 100-3200.
