The news about the latest generation iPhone back sticking out. Apple is reportedly already in the testing phase LTE (Long Term Evolution) for its latest iPhone and test the components of the potential suppliers.
Leaking from the investment firm Barclays research note, this information also mentioned that among the components being tested, Apple seems interested in using Qualcomm's MDM9615 LTE chip.
Reported by AppleInsider, Thursday (3/22/2012), this chip supports voice and data connections to high-speed 4G network. Like the iPhone 4S, the latest generation iPhone is expected to be compatible with a variety of 4G LTE networks.
In addition to Qualcomm, a number of other chip maker also touted Apple's potential interest. They include Skyworks Solutions, TriQuint Semiconductor and Avago Technologies.
