According to Digitimes sources, vendors expected to launch Windows 8 Intel tablets include Hewlett-Packard, Dell, Lenovo, Acer and Asustek Computer.
Windows 8 tablets powered by ARM processors (WoA tablet) are expected to follow in early 2013. However, Nokia has plans to launch a 10-inch WoA tablet powered with a Qualcomm processor in November 2012, say the sources from Taiwan-based supply chain makers.
Apple is reportedly poised to launch another 9.7-inch iPad in October to counter the Windows 8 challenge and retain its share in the consumer market, but Windows 8 tablets are expected to be widely welcomed by the corporate world that has invested into the Windows echo system over the past two decades.
