Samsung Galaxy Note II 5.5-in 'Phablet' |
Samsung's Galaxy Note II is a 5.5-in, 1280 x 720 display smartphone with the S-Pen stylus powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core processor and 2 GB or RAM.
Announced on Wednesday, August 29, at IFA consumer electronics show in Berlin, it's the successor to the dual core, 5.3-in display Galaxy Note 1 announced at the same event last year.
Measuring 151.1 x 80.5 x 9.4mm and weighing 180g, the Galaxy Note II is the largest and most powerful smartphone in the Samsung stable.
Other hardware improvements, besides the larger display and a more powerful processor, include a 3,100mAh (2,500mAh on Note 1) battery, support for 64Gb (32Gb on Note 1) microSD card, Android 4.1 Jelly Beans (Android 4.0 on Note 1), and a redesigned S Pen with an improved 8mm grip and a rubber tip.
